Beijing DeHeng Law Offices is a Chinese law firm registered in accordance with the laws of the People’s Republic of China. The undersigned attorney in this authorization statement is legally qualified to practice. The law firm is jointly commissioned by Emperor Entertainment (Hong Kong) Co., LTD and Emperor Entertainment (Beijing) Co., LTD (hereinafter referred to as Emperor Group) to appoint the lawyers Liu Zhi Jun and Qiao Chun to issue this statement.
Recently, a picture (the involved picture) posted for publicity purposes with the theme of “GCG ASIA Global Launch Conference” appeared on the Internet. The involved picture used the following words: ” GCG ASIA Global Launch Conference and Stars Concert Five Days Four Nights Tour to Hong Kong and Macau” “GCG ASIA make life rich” “30th June 2019 meet you at the ASIA International Expo Hong Kong”. The images were using the portraits of eight public figures, one of whom bears a striking resemblance to the portrait of Hong Kong artist Mr. Nicholas Tse Ting-fung （谢霆锋）, whose name is known as ” Nicholas Tse Ting-fung （谢霆锋）”.
As the manager agency of Mr. Nicholas Tse, Emperor Group hereby authorizes the lawyers : Liu Zhi Jun and Qiao Chun to make the following public statements:
- After verification, the portrait involved (marked with the name “Nicholas Tse”) is not the portrait of Mr. Nicholas Tse. There is no partnership between the company, Mr. Nicholas Tse and GCG ASIA.
- According to relevant laws and regulations People’s Republic of China, the author of the picture involved are suspected of infringing upon the legitimate rights and interests of Emperor Group and Mr. Nicholas Tse. Emperor Group and Mr. Nicholas Tse publicly condemned the author of the picture involved and reserved the right to pursue legal responsibilities of the author of the picture involved through legal channels.
- The relevant media and the public please do not be confused by the retweet and spread the picture involved, and also not to be influenced in the picture of the low-level “copycat” behavior, but maintain the integrity of the healthy Internet environment together.
Recently, there have been frequent cases of infringement of Mr. Nicholas Tse’s personal rights by means of “stealing pictures”, “synthesizing pictures” and “imitating artists’ portraits”, etc. The perpetrators of these incidents deliberately misled the public in an attempt to achieve their improper commercial purposes. Emperor Group and Mr. Nicholas Tse hereby severely condemn and warn the respective parties, and entrust the lawyers of the firm to collect evidences and investigate the legal responsibility of the respective parties through legal channels.
